'The mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest one of all' -Pt1
It is not my first time seeing it, but this time, it resonated. It was an Instagram post directed to creatives, but what drew my attention was the breakdown of the mountains of influence in society. It listed the following: Arts and Entertainment, Education, Family, Government, Media, Religion, Business and went on to say, "Whoever occupies the top of these mountains shapes the values of the culture beneath them. God is calling Kingdom Ambassadors to take their places" (tyheadlee and tipswty post 12 September 2026). I concur.
When God gives a revelation, he backs it up with two or more witnesses; more importantly, over time, he provides guidance and clear steps for execution. The prophecy for our time is that of Isaiah 1: 2-4, as echoed by the prophet Micah: "In the last days
the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
and peoples will stream to it.
Many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Micah 4:1-2
The Church are the people of the Messiah Jesus. They form the temple in which YHWH dwells by his Holy Spirit. As the Apostle Paul clearly states in Ephesians 2: 20-22: "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
The third temple is here and has been functional since the Lord Jesus sent his Holy Spirit to fill the 120 disciples in the upper room on the day of Pentecost recorded in Acts 2. The issue now is that we need to recognise the progression of the assignment given to those early followers. They had to lay the foundations for preaching the good news of the spiritual Kingdom the Messiah instituted; we must now establish the spiritual Temple built in us as the highest of the Mountains of influence in our developed world.
The Kingdom way of establishing the Messiah's values is not by the weapons of this world. A spiritual Kingdom fights with spiritual artillery. "For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm." Ephesians 6:12. When we read this verse in context, many of us narrow the artillery down to just prayer. Now prayer, i.e., communion, is the bedrock of EVERYTHING we do in the Kingdom of YHWH, but it is not the only thing. The artillery includes our realisation of our role in establishing the creator's principles in whatever sphere of life and commerce we find ourselves. Indeed, we ARE Ambassadors - messengers and diplomats representing the Kingdom of God on earth.
The goal is not to tear down existing establishments; the goal is to "...demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5b. To influence a place or power, you have to be accessible to that place or power. To be effective, YOU have to be endowed with the superior power of the Spirit of the Messiah. Our boldness is not the boldness of this world, which oppresses or subjugates the weak, helpless, and vulnerable. Rather, it is a boldness fuelled by the intimacy and oneness with the Lord: "Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength!" Ephesians 6:10.
Hence the steps are these:
Understand the times we are in and what the Lord expects of us now. John 4:35
Recognise your place in it as His child and Messenger. Ephesians 1:11-14
Be one with the Lord and in community with at least some of His people. This will ensure you are aligned with his assignment for you. Acts 4:23
Love the people in your world and be vested in the industry or area to which you are assigned. 2 Corinthians 10:13
Allow the Spirit of God to lead you to be innovative and bold in promoting His purposes for humanity, the planet, etc in that area. At this point, please note that influence and leadership are not synonymous with positions or titles. Your goal is to serve the Lord by serving (the people -clients, consumers, businesses, etc.) with God's values, and serving God's values. Hence, whatever you build or do is driven by YHWH's goals as revealed by the Messiah Jesus. As prophesied, "He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” Micah 4:2b
"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people" Ephesians 6:7 NIV
"So even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it." 2 Corinthians 10:8
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
