'The mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest one of all' -Pt3

"But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth." Daniel 2:35b
God truly wants us to know. It amazes me how far He goes to make sure His plans for humanity and our home planet (Earth) are not carried out without our prior notice. I love our Creator YHWH!
In Daniel 35, YHWH gives a Babylonian colonialist and dictator, King Nebuchadnezzar, a vision of the future of rule on the Earth.
Why a non-Israelite? Because the vision wasn't limited to Israel, and who better than a man obsessed with power and rule to make the known world take notice? Nebuchadnezzar was an irrefutable voice, not a 'biased' philosopher or 'dubious' astrologer - he was a man who had nothing to gain from a vision that declared the taking over of all Kingdoms by a power (a ruler) greater than himself!
The vision in a nutshell was this: "a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them." Daniel 2:31b-34
The part I want to concentrate on is the line in the subsequent verse: "But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth." Daniel 2:35b
The prophets Micah and Isaiah predict, "In the last days
the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
and peoples will stream to it."
The Lord's Temple sits on a mountain; this mountain will be established as the highest of the mountains, and peoples will stream to it.
The interesting thing is how this Mountain gets established as the highest of all the mountains and hills.
Back to King Nebuchadnezzar's dream, YHWH's prophet Daniel not only correctly recounts the king's dream without being told, but he also gives the interpretation: "Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory..." He goes on to tell the King there will be three other Kingdoms after his. And: “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.
The interesting thing is that Daniel says this overcoming, eternal Kingdom is established during the tenure of the four Kingdoms typified by the gold, Bronze, Iron, and iron/clay parts of the statue in King Nebuchadnezzar's vision.
The Kingdom does not come as a mighty mountain, but as a rock dislodged that gradually grows through four powerful kingdoms to take over and enduringly replace them all.
"This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces." Daniel 2:45a.
The Mountain of the Lord's Temple in Micah and Isaiah is the Kingdom of Jesus the Messiah. HE is the rock (or stone) broken from the tribe of Israel to take over all the kingdoms of the world. His rule is growing amongst all the political and human structures of government and rule. However, know for sure, the rule of Christ (Messiah Jesus) is not some passing fad. Be sure that THIS Kingdom is destined to replace them all.
“The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future. The dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy.” Daniel 2:45b
I encourage you to serve under the rule of the ever-lasting King Jesus in His growing eternal Kingdom.
Give Him your allegiance. That's the smartest decision you could ever make.
"Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” 1Peter 2:7 (see also Psalm 118:22-23)
"We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." 1 John 5:20
